Declaration of RoHS Compliance


It is Weiss Instruments, Inc. intent that its products comply with the requirements of the RoHS Directive 2002/95/CE and that new product placed on the market, subject to RoHS restrictions, or that will become part of equipment within the scope of RoHS, meets the required July 1, 2006 compliance date.

The RoHS Directive bans the placing on the EU and other markets certain new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants effective July 1, 2006.

Weiss’s products, materials and processes have been analyzed to identify those affected by the Directive. Suitable changes and alternative solutions are being implemented on an ongoing basis.

The Weiss Instruments, Inc. plan includes:

Evaluating suppliers of purchased materials and components. Completed
Identifying affected product and determining changes required. Completed
Compliance of manufacturing processes. March 31, 2006
Compliance of all affected new product. On or before June 30, 2006

It is Weiss Instruments policy to meet all national and international statutory requirements and continuously improve our products and processes with regard to their performance as well as their environmental, health and safety impact.
